Generating cold
Food processing or the creation of a pleasant environment require lowering the temperature of a carrier fluid, usually water or air.
Heat dissipation
Exothermic processes, waste heat from refrigeration production or other cycles, etc. need to return this heat to the ambient air so that the cycle can regenerate or the processes can run safely.
Heat recovery
