A closed cooling tower is one in which the packing has been replaced by a coil of smooth tubes, in which the fluid to be cooled circulates. A second circuit, assisted by a small pump built into the unit, collects water from the tower basin and distributes it over the coil.
As the liquid to be cooled does not come into contact with the air, the closed-circuit tower replaces the cooling tower + heat exchanger assembly, resulting in lower cooling temperatures.
Discover our series of closed-circuit towers in steel, fiberglass-reinforced polyester and in axial or centrifugal versions.
